Proceeds from sales support activities of local Boy Scouts.

In the market for a live Christmas tree? Consider buying one while helping to support a good cause.

The annual Troop 9 Boy Scouts tree lot opens Friday, Nov. 30 with 100 percent of proceeds helping to fund troop activities throughout the year.

The lot, located at the intersection of Central Avenue and Beverly Road in West Caldwell, is staffed by scouts and their parents from 6 to 9 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.

More than 500 trees are available in a variety of sizes, including Douglas Fir, Fraser Fir and Balsams. Wreaths, garland and grave blankets are also for sale.

“As always, we have a great selection of very high quality trees,” Sal Amoreno, coordinator of the Troop 9 Christmas tree lot, stated in a release. “If you’re in the market for a live tree, come by our tree lot—the money goes to a great cause.”
