Three Hospitalized After Crash at West Caldwell Intersection
Police say driver did not obey stop sign.

A van police say failed to stop at a stop sign crashed into a truck at a West Caldwell intersection Wednesday.
West Caldwell Police say Heriberto Monge of Des Moines, Wash. was driving a Ford van north on Park Avenue when he did not stop at the stop sign on the corner of Washington Avenue. Monge crashed into a Jeep being driven by Anthony Castelli of West Caldwell, who was heading east on Washington.
Both drivers, as well as a passenger in the Jeep, were taken to the hospital by the West Essex First Aid Squad for treatment of what police called “moderate” injuries.
Monge was issued summonses for failure to stop at a stop sign and operating a vehicle loaded so as to spill, by Patrolman Patrick Cooper who investigated the crash.
Police responded to the scene at 12:19 p.m. after receiving several 9-1-1 calls.
The West Caldwell Fire Department responded and assisted with the clean up of gasoline that spilled from a gas can inside the van’s enclosed trailer.

Creative Concepts must have a lot of friends in West Caldwell or the Patch since the report seems a little light on the questions. The driver was operating the company vehicle, yet Heriberto Monge lives in the state of Washington? so does he commute back and forth to New Jersey every day? He must have just started working for the company within the last 4 weeks because by law after 30 days of moving to New Jersey you must get a drivers license. The guy causes what could have been a fatal accident with the rig he was pulling and yet he gets a failing to stop ticket, hope he knows how to operate a lawn mower, if he hurts someone his first flight will be back to Washington or wherever his real home is. Gotta love America, just don't follow the laws or you'll never make it.
