West Caldwell's Cedar Street Pool will be closed until the end of pool season, the township has announced.

However, residents can still enjoy Westville Pool through Labor Day.

Recreation Director Gabe DiMasi said the pool closure was caused by runoff into the Cedar Street pool that occurred during Tropical Storm Irene.

He said muddy water from Memorial Park caused runoff into the pool during the storm. It would take several days to drain, clean and refill the pool, which would be closed for the season after Labor Day.

However, he said Westville Pool will remain open until the end of the season.
