Handful of Plots Available at Community Garden

Open to West Caldwell residents who would like to grow their own produce.

The Township of West Caldwell is opening up its community garden for the third year. The garden, which is located on Westville Avenue next to the Historic Crane House, is open to West Caldwell residents who would like to grow their own produce and don’t have the adequate property at home.

The 10' by 15’ plots are available for an initial fee of $50 with a yearly renewal fee of $25.

There is water available from two faucets on either side of the garden and compost is delivered to the site at the beginning and end of each growing season for the gardeners’ use.

Anyone who is interested can visit town hall to sign up. It is a great way to grow your own fresh vegetables and make some new friends.

Because my home is surrounded by 100% shade, each year I call West Caldwell and ask to buy a plot. And each year I've been told West Caldwell residents only.
Perhaps this will be my year?
