Members of Trinity Academy’s Daisy Troop earned their “Considerate and Caring Patch” on Martin Luther King, Jr. day, a national day of service.

The Daisy Troop visited St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston on Monday, Jan. 16 and donated new toys, books and movies to the Pediatric Department.

The kindergarten girls met with a Child Life Specialist at the hospital who spoke to them about what it’s like to be a pediatric patient.

As an added bonus, the girls had the opportunity to meet “Trooper,” a hospital therapy dog who plays with the kids.
