Pack 6 Cub Scouts Host Orientation Meeting
Boys in first through fifth grades are eligible to participate in Cub Scouts.
Boys in grades first through fifth and their parents are invited to attend a Cub Scout orientation meeting next week.
Pack 6, which serves Trinity Academy as well as Lincoln, Jefferson and Wilson elementary schools in Caldwell and West Caldwell, will hold an informational meeting for prospective Cub Scouts at Trinity Academy, 219 Bloomfield Ave., Caldwell, on Tuesday, Sept. 18, at 6 p.m.
The brief meeting will take place in the cafeteria and will highlight opportunities available through participating in the Cubs Scouts of America
The Cub Scout program focuses on strengthening character, self-esteem, citizenship, teamwork, and physical fitness of first through fifth grade boys.
Boys in the first grade participate in the Tiger Cub program, which emphasizes building close adult/child relationships while introducing families to scouting.
Some of the Pack 6 activities planned for this year include:
- Family Spring & Fall Campouts
- Pinewood Derby
- Soapbox Derby
- Fishing Derby
- Hiking & Other Outdoor Activities
- Physical Fitness & Citizenship Activities
- Camping at NJ Jackals Game
- Campfire Get Togethers
Pack 6 meets one Friday night a month at Trinity.
