Many Ways to Give Back This Weekend

From a turkey/ham collection at St. Al's to Rock Out Cancer concert at Rockn' Joe.

Local groups are asking for your help when you are out shopping for groceries and other needs over the weekend.

St. Aloysius Church is collecting turkey, turkey breast and ham for the Easter season. Donations, preferably frozen, can be dropped off to the vestibule of Trinity Academy Gym (behind the church) on Monday, April 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Non-perishable food items are also welcome. The items will be distributed to some local families and will help fill the freezers of St John’s Soup Kitchen in Newark. St. John’s serves about 200 hungry people every day with two pots of soup.

The James Caldwell High School Scholarship Committee is selling $25, $50 and $100 ShopRite gift cards for the spring holidays. There is no additional cost to you, and 5% of the sales are donated to the JCHS Scholarship Fund. To order, send an email to matoni@me.com or call Mary Caracappa at 973-364-1386.
