Local Business Hosts Hurricane BBQ

Community invited to Caldwell College campus for hot meal courtesy of Ned Stevens Gutter Cleaning.

A local business brought warmth and a hot meal to area residents in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.

Ned Stevens Gutter Cleaning hosted a free barbecue Friday on the Caldwell College campus.

The school was running on generators and classes were closed all week after the powerful storm caused widespread power outages throughout the Caldwells.

The Fairfield-based business grilled up hamburgers and hot dogs for students and other members of the community. Free company sweatshirts were also distributed.

Owner Mike Stevens organized the barbecue with sons, Matt and Mike, working the grill.
