Letter to the Editor: Sincere Thanks From CWCEF

The Caldwell-West Caldwell Education Foundation extends its sincerest thanks to the following community members who volunteered to dance in our inaugural “Dancing with our Community Stars” fundraising event that was held on Feb. 11 at the James Caldwell High School Performing Arts Center: Washington Elementary School Principal Barbara Adams, Caldwells Patch Editor Teresa Akersten, JCHS Principal Dr. Kevin Barnes, West Caldwell Councilman Joseph Cecere, West Caldwell resident Nick Cofone, Caldwell-West Caldwell Board of Education Member Mary Davidson, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Daniel A. Gerardi, Grover Cleveland Middle School (GCMS) and JCHS teacher Lisa Manfre, North Essex Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors Member Pat Nocito, GCMS and JCHS teacher Diana Reyes, Guerrerro-Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu MMA Instructor Sempai Fabian Rosario, and Rose Mediterranean Restaurant Manager Rebecca Thornton.

Words can’t express how much we appreciated the time and effort you put into making this a memorable event. You gave a fantastic performance to a standing-room-only audience and at the same time demonstrated not only your support of the Foundation, but also our community and especially our children.

All events require the cooperation, assistance and expertise of many individuals. “Dancing With our Community Stars” was no different and would not have been possible and so successful without the support of the following: Ilya Ifraimov and Nadia Goulina, the owners of The Fred Astaire Dance Studios of Montville and Princeton; the Montville studio professional dance instructors Belle Padilla, Ty Gibson, Alex Milov, Dana Billups and the dancers from the Princeton Studio: Jensyn Modero and the JCHS student cast of 42nd Street: JCHS Stage Managers Nate Lienhard and Andrew Burrows and the Stage Management Students; Emcee Charlie Pennatello; West Caldwell Mayor Joseph Tempesta, one of the judges; photographer and videographer, JCHS student Joseph Chen; Kristi Breen and Michele Mangione, make-up artist and hair stylist; the Cloverleaf Tavern, a Silver Sponsor; the playbill advertisers, Rose Mediterranean Restaurant, Lovely Living Interiors, Guerrero Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Caldwell Printing.Net, Vac Shack, Top Tier Tutoring, CWC Education Association, Caldwell College and Mary Cofone; the student volunteer ushers and ticket collectors; the Caldwell-West Caldwell Board of Education; Aramark Food Services; and of course all those who attended this event.
