Hog Wild Chef to Demo BBQ Techniques
Stop by the Caldwell Farmers' Market this week for a live cooking demonstration and sampling, corn hole games, bike rodeo and safety program, live music and more.
The Caldwell Farmers’ Market will go a little country this Friday when Hog Wild BBQ Chef Dave Daniolowicz gives a live cooking demonstration and visitors can try their hand at a game of corn hole.
Daniolowicz will demonstrate his grilling techniques and answer all of your barbecue questions.
The demo begins at 1:30 p.m. and free samples will be available.
Hog Wild will also have a stand at the market, offering pulled pork and chicken, beef brisket, full racks of ribs, homemade barbecue sauces, corn breads and other baked goods. Freshly brewed hibiscus iced tea and lemonade will also be available.
Daniolowicz is a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America. After years of success in barbecue competitions, he opened Hog Wild BBQ at 405 Bloomfield Ave., in Caldwell with his brother Drew.

Caldwell Police Department Bike Rodeo & Safety Program
2 to 4 p.m.
Bring your bikes to the market and try out the Caldwell Police Department obstacle course. Learn bicycle safety on the roadway, proper maintenance of your bicycle, and proper helmet fit. All bicycles will be inspected and registered with the Caldwell Police Department. There will be giveaways at the event, but supplies are limited so get there early! Children of all ages and abilities are welcome.
Live Music with Travis Fischbach
3 to 6 p.m.
Enjoy a special musical performance by returning favorite Travis Fischbach. This James Caldwell High School grad can be heard playing music at Temple University area coffee houses and shows, in the Tri-Star a cappella chorus of the Mid-Atlantic District, and jamming locally with his musical cohorts Mike Iritsky, Ian Rediske, and Mark Trigano of El Kabong.
Hands on Cooking for Kids with Chef Robin
4 to 6 p.m.
Learn how to make breakfast burritos from scratch with French Culinary Institute graduate, caterer and in-home cooking instructor, Chef Robin. The children will do all the preparation and learn how to combine new ingredients, but no sampling please due to Health Department regulations.
The Caldwell Farmers’ Market runs every Friday from noon to 6 p.m., in the Smull Avenue Parking lot, through October.
The Caldwell Farmers’ Market is organized and managed by volunteers from Project Main Street, a nonprofit organization working to make a difference in Caldwell’s downtown.
