'Fat Chef' to Feature Caterer From North Caldwell

Ally Vitella of Vitella's Catering has catered for such celebrities as Robert De Niro, Johnny Depp, Vince Vaughn and others in New York.
Now the camera will turn on the North Caldwell resident, one of a dozen obese food professionals to be featured on Fat Chef, a new show debuting Thursday night on The Food Network.
Fat Chef tackles a weighty issue—obesity and poor health among chefs, caterers, and others who work in the food business.
Vitella, 41, and the others are followed by cameras for 16 weeks as they work to change their destructive behaviors with the help of nutritionists and trainers.
According to a story on The Huffington Post, Vitella discovered she had Type 2 diabetes during her first check-in for Fat Chef; she drops from a size 28 to a size 16 during the course of the filming.
Tune in to The Food Channel to begin following her story when the show debuts on Thursday at 10 p.m. EST.
