Comics Compete for Title, Schools Closed for Holiday and More in the Week Ahead

A look at the week ahead and what stories Patch plans to cover.

 

Here are some of the stories we're working on and what's happening this week in the Caldwells. See you around!

—The North Caldwell Council meeting has been rescheduled from Tuesday to Monday at 7:30 p.m.

—Caldwell-West Caldwell, North Caldwell and West Essex public schools are closed Wednesday for Yom Kippur.

Interfaith Dialogue: Understanding the Mormon Faith, a three-week dialogue, will be presented by members of the Mormon Church in North Caldwell at the First Presbyterian Church at Caldwell starting Wednesday. 

—The Caldwell College Marketing Club will host Last 'Caldwell' Comic Standing, an amateur comedy competition, on Wednesday at 9:30 p.m.

—The Crosstrails Square Dancing Club will offer a free class Thursday at Grover Cleveland Middle School.

Ss Nicholas, Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church of Roseland is celebrating its one year anniversary this weekend with the First Annual Roseland Greek Cultural Festival. All are invited to the three-day festival which will feature live music, dancing and Greek specialties. 

—The next Operation Take Back will take place on Saturday, Sept. 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Local police departments will be collecting unwanted and expired prescription drugs, question-free.
