Caldwell Restaurant Burglarized Over Weekend
Police investigating break-in at Divina Ristorante.
Police are investigating a burglary that took place in the early morning hours Saturday at a Bloomfield Avenue restaurant in Caldwell.
A burglar entered Divina Ristorante, located at 461 Bloomfield Ave., through a locked back door and took an undetermined amount of cash, Caldwell Police Chief James Bongiorno said.
The burglary took place sometime between midnight and noon Saturday, Bongiorno said.
Police ask anyone who may have information regarding the burglary to contact the Caldwell Police Department Detective Bureau at (973) 226-2600.

Goodness,here we go again! It's beginning to seem like one theft after another,B&E's,car thefts,store robberies,etc.I can only presume the crime is moving West.Some may say,"Where were the police?Aren't they doing their job? That is not the case,they simply cannot be everywhere at once.They need our help,If you see something that looks what may be out of order,call them.They would rather investigate something completely innocent rather than try to piece together clues after the horse is out of the barn.The police due appreciate the help of the public I am sure.We are fortunate to have good local departments in our respective towns,let's help them where we can.All we need do is exercise common sense.Respectfully,Gregory L.Mitchell,West Caldwell
