Caldwell Community Center Will Close for Renovations

Plans include refinishing gymnasium floor and pool maintenance.

The Caldwell Community Center will be closed for renovations for approximately two weeks starting Friday, August 31.

Plans include refinishing and restriping the gymnasium floor, pool maintenance and improvements and painting and upgrading locker rooms. The cycle room will also be expanded and new equipment will be introduced.

Exterior improvements include replacing the stairs on the parking deck.

Sections of the community center will re-open as work is completed.

The goal is for the center to re-open fully on Monday, Sept. 17.

The borough has set up a hotline for members of the community to check on the progress of the work. Call 973-228-7665. Regular email blasts will also be sent to members and updates will be posted at www.caldwell-nj.com.

Earlier this year, the community center introduced new fitness and babysitting rooms.

The Caldwell Community Center is owned and operated by the Borough of Caldwell. It offers a gym, fitness classes, swim lessons and a summer camp. A portion of the building is home to the Grover Cleveland Senior Center.
