Bramhall to Serve as President of Essex County Chiefs of Police
West Caldwell Police Chief sworn in to two-year term.
West Caldwell Police Chief Michael J. Bramhall was sworn in as president of the Essex County Association of Chiefs of Police on Thursday, Dec. 6.
Bramhall will serve a two-year term (2013-2014), taking over for outgoing president, Chief Robert Cimino of Maplewood.
The association represents the county's 22 municipal police agencies as well as county, state and federal law enforcement agencies that work or have representatives in the county. The association was formed in 1955 and currently has about 200 members, including current, retired and associate members.
“Our Association is committed to developing a strong working relationship among all Chiefs of Police and other law enforcement executives within Essex County and the heads of other local, county, state and federal law enforcement agencies," the association's mission states in part.
Bramhall joined the association after being promoted to chief in November 2009 and has previously served as the Recording Secretary, as well as 1st and 2nd Vice President.
