Boy Scout Troop 6 and Family Members Pitch In

Work on Grounds at Grover Cleveland Birthplace for 4th of July Celebration

After working on an at the , Alex Rosa, along with his fellow Troop 6 Boy Scouts and family members, helped put things back in place on Sunday.

The scouts and family members literally got their hands dirty as they filled in the remainder of the sink holes left after the November 2011 dig.  With the groundwork completed, the Grover Cleveland Birthplace is now set to host the and contest.

"The scouts and their families responded so positively when we asked for help.  Their quick response and obvious sense of civic pride, and willingness to help their community is so inspiring.  Many thanks to the troop for this wonderful service," commented Sharon Farrell, the Caretaker for the Grover Cleveland Birthplace.

The volunteers who spent their Sunday on this service project were Alex, Elizabeth and Dorothy Rosa, Colin, Liam, Matt and Christine Corliss, Joey, Michael and Mike Meluso, Dan and Mary Freeman, Ashvin Nagarajan, and Ken and Akiko Axe.
