Bank Vacated Building Four Years Ago
What would you love to see on the corner of Bloomfield and Personette?
It's been four years since Valley National Bank in Caldwell relocated from a big old building at 307 Bloomfield Avenue to a new contemporary one just around the corner.
A sign on the front door reads, "Attention Customers: As of April 1, 2008, this office will close permanently. Please visit our office across the street at 15 Roseland Ave."
Peeling paint on the bright green building was recently retouched and an electrical fire broke out here last May.
If you could have your way, what would you like to see happen in this space on the corner of Personette Street?

I think it would be a great spot for another Bar. That would be the most successful type of business. All the others in town are generally full of patrons. The conversion would be relatively simple, using the tellers area as the bar, and the vault could be used as a cooler, or storage. The town has too many nail salons and pizza shops.

A Bar, yes fun! Is there a liquor license available in town? Or a big retailer like West Elm! Less expensive that Willams Sonoma, but owned by Williams Sonoma! Something for everyone and great prices!
