Athlete Shares Softball, Life Techniques at Crush Cancer Clinic

Former James Caldwell High School softball star hopes her story of surviving cancer will help others cope with hard times.

With state records in softball for most shutouts and games won, Kristen Schindler is one of the best athletes to come out of James Caldwell High School. At 25, she is also a cancer survivor.

Last summer, Schindler conceived the Crush Cancer Clinic as a way to combine her passion for coaching softball with her desire to share her story of survival. The softball clinic/fundraiser held last month raised money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

This week, NJ.com posted a story on the athlete, along with a photo gallery from the clinic. See it here

Patch spoke with Schindler when she was giddy with excitement just days before the clinic, which was held at Caldwell College. Read the Patch story here.
