5, 4, 3, 2, 1 ... Tree Lightings Are a Bright Tradition
North Caldwell and West Caldwell's winter holiday celebrations
The 2010 West Caldwell and North Caldwell tree lightings had a lot in common. Both had large crowds, almost the same exact starting time, and a visit from Santa Claus, who like this reporter somehow managed to be in two places at once. (He had help from Rudolph; he had a minivan.). Jolly St. Nick also relayed special messages to readers of the Caldwells Patch (see video).
Community organizations helped to make each event extra special. In North Caldwell, the Boy Scouts prepared hot chocolate, cider and roasted marshmallows. In West Caldwell, the crowd was treated to a sing-a-long not only with Santa, but local singing group The Dapper Dans of Harmony.
With that, all three towns in the Caldwells have their trees officially lit. (Caldwell's tree-lighting was Saturday.)
