Jennifer May Graduates From Four-Year College in Only Three Years

Jennifer Janet May, a 2009 graduate of James Caldwell High School, graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from Lock Haven University on May 11, 2012. Jennifer was in the Accelerated Honors Program for Physician Assistant.

During her undergraduate career, she was a board member for the Healthy Woman Program at Lock Haven Hospital, a health education and empowerment program that gave free information sessions and connected community women with physicians. This program also worked to expand the community women’s health knowledge and awareness on issues crucial to their health such as Breast Health, Cardiovascular Disease and Kidney Stones.

Also during her undergraduate studies, she was a leader and mentor in the Honors Program. She attended the Northeast Regional Honors Conferences in Portland, Maine and Baltimore, Maryland where she presented papers on a variety of woman's health issues.

She is now attending a Physician Assistant Program for her Master's Degree in Health Science at Lock Haven University with an interest in future practice in women's health.

Jennifer is the daughter of Peter and Shelly May of West Caldwell, as well as the granddaughter of her extremely proud grandfather Bill May and the late Janet May, former longtime councilwoman of West Caldwell.
